Review of 2014

Before I start looking at this years projects I thought I'd share with you what I made last year! 

I'll start at the top left hand corner

Pink baby bloomers

I made this as a gift for my friend when she had her little baby girl. They were really lovely to knit and pretty quick. The pattern also included some ribbing on the Legs but I left that off as I quick liked the way they curled up! I loved making these and I think if we are having a girl I might  need to make some more of these!

Christmas Stockings 

I did blog about these last year which you can read about here. In total I've made 15 of these and need to make another 9 before December so that Angus can actually use it!

Little Easter Rabbit

I also blogged about this little guy which you can find here. I would defineltly make more of these but I've found a new pattern I want to try this year, so watch this space!

Heart Valentines Card

I blogged about this card last year, which you can find here. 

Kimono jacket

This was a first for me, I've owned a sewing machine for a number of years and have used it for the odd thing every now and then but I have never made an item of clothing. I heard about a beginners sewing class and decided to give it a go. I loved it and was really pleased with what I achieved! I will be looking for more classes this year and hopefully improve my skills.

Felt Christmas Decorations

This was another sewing class I heard about. What was even better about this one was that it was on my birthday. I had a lovely time at the class and again really pleased with my decorations. This is also something I think I can make at home so will hopefully make some more!

Double Pom Pom Chunky Hat

I made this for my friends little boy and you can read all about it here.

Wel that's it for last year. I'm pleased with everything I made last year just disappointed that I didn't make more! Must do better this year!

Fo Friday - Not another hat

As the title may suggest this weeks finished object is another bobble hat! Ever since I made this hat for Angus he has received compliments on it and several of his friends mummy's have asked if I would make one for them! The pattern is really simple and quick so I don't mind at all but I do think this is the last one... for this year anyway!

So this one was for Angus' friend Elliott who wanted it in a bright blue

As I said it was a quick simple knit and I'm almost certainly going to make more.

Fo Friday - chunky hat!

It's finished! I'm really pleased with this little hat! It was really quick and easy to knit and I think looks really cool! I love knitting little hats!

And here's the hat modelled by its new owner 

I think he quite likes it too!

Wip Wednesday #27

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Hope you are all having a good week! As usual I don't know where the week has gone, its been a busy one here. Lots of knitting, so lets get on and show you what I've got on the needles.

First Wip - Baby

This was taken at the weekend when we went to a railway museum. It was a beautiful day and Angus had a lovely time, he just loves being around people. The rest of our week has been a bit of a strain, we are doing some sleep training with Angus. If any of you have done this you will understand how challenging this can be. Hopefully we will be in a better place next week.

Second Wip - Bear

This is another new wip, I am making a bear for Angus to give him at Christmas. This is the first time I have attempted a toy and already I have changed the pattern. I decided it wasn't enough of a challenge already so decided instead of block colour I would make it a stripey bear. We'll see how it goes! So far its ok but as you can see I haven't done very much. Watch this space...

Third Wip - Chunky Hat

You may be sensing a theme this week as this hat is also for Angus. (He really does take over everything!) I think this will be a really quick knit and I hope to be showing it of on a FO Friday soon! It's a nice easy pattern and as its a baby hat and using chunky wool, on big needles it is going to be nice and quick. It's also in stocking stitch and knitted flat. I can't wait to get it finished!

I have also been working on last weeks wips but will show you those next week.
